The Graduate Program in Public Policy was established in 2010 by The University of Texas System as a way to bring graduate students studying policy and politics to our nation’s capital to learn about the federal government and public service. For any graduate student interested in American governance and policy, the experience of living and working in Washington, D.C., is like none other.
The Graduate Program in Public Policy consists of living in the heart of Washington, D.C., for a twelve-week summer program. Participants will earn nine in-residence credit hours, combining substantive academic coursework and an internship on Capitol Hill, an Executive Branch agency or other Washington, D.C., governmental or non-governmental organization. Selection is based on a competitive process, and is offered to highly motivated graduate students of the University of Texas System.
Blanca, Tharani, Sara, and Amy are all Summer 2014 Graduate Program in Public Policy Fellows.
